Three major financial institutions (i.e. « Bpifrance », « Credit Agricole Regions Investissement » & « Invest PME ») are backing up SOGEPIERRE’s owners in the taking over the company « LES PIERRES BOURGUIGNONNES »

The SOGEPIERRE’s owners, William Hainaux & Edmond Lefebvre, took over the company « LES PIERRES BOURGUIGNONNES » with the support of  « Bpifrance », « Credit Agricole Regions Investissement » & « Invest PME »
The SOGEPIERRE group, located in Chamesson (70 km north of Dijon) quarries, transforms and sells natural ornemental limestone from Burgundy. Well known in the industry nation wide and internationally, the group has five self owned quarries plus two factories and employs 60 people. The group is presenting 14 references of natural high end ornemental limestone for the B to B aswell as B to C markets.
It’s annual turn over is 6.3 M€ among which 55% is being exported out of France.

In order to strengthen its competitive position on the market, SOGEPIERRE bought « LES PIERRES BOURGUIGNONNES » This company owns the best quarries of BUXY and COMBLANCHIEN and transforms the stone in its up-to-date factory of Comblanchien.  From now on, SOGEPIERRE controls and quarries the main quarries of Burgundy limestone and is in the position to propose a wide range of materials, from raw blocks up to sophisticated finish products for all kinds of projects of any sizes. The group has now 7 self owned quarries are i.e. MAGNY LE LOUVRE, BEAUVAL, AMPILLY, ROCHEVAL, CORTON, COMBLANCHIEN & BUXY and employs 85 persons in the quarries and factories.

The operation was carried out partially in equity by Bpifrance, by Carvest and by Invest PME through the BOURGOGNE FRANCHE-COMTE DEFIS 2 fund and the balance through there setting up of a bank financing through CREDIT AGRICOLE & BPIFRANCE.
